My friend and neighbor (the one who got me started in the Cricut world) had an idea for a family camp site sign. Since she primarily does paper crafts, not vinyl, she asked if I would like to help her with it…of course I agreed.

As a sort of ‘welcome back to crafting’ for myself and as a reminder to my loved ones, I decided to make this sign as a reminder to stop and breathe when things seem tough.

Never have truer words been said. When I saw this design in a pack of SVGs, I laughed and thought “yeah that sounds like me”. Then it was a perfectly accurate description for this entire project.

When I first whipped out the stencil vinyl, I thought “I’m going to start with a simple, basic project.” I was wrong…so. so. so wrong…

While simple, this project was much more about the functionality.

One of my cousins, Michael, who lives very close by and has been a huge inspiration to me ever since we moved to California, has a garden. He has done gardening in the past, but always ended up contending with the squirrels until eventually they won.
