Today I choose to be simple. Cut a design, weed a design. That was all. But as per usual, there had to be SOMETHING to make it just a touch more complicated than that.

Fall is coming, which means the designs are too. But of course, I’m going to use vinyl and layer whatever design is made.

I love rainbows, so much that I often say it’s my favorite color. It’s fun to work on big vinyl design that I have absolutely no plans for yet. I enjoy layering vinyl. That’s what I set out to do and I am so very happy with the final project. It came with it’s own set of nightmare issues that had me rage quitting one day and starting over another.

I feel like this sign sums up my past month and a half…KEEP SLEEPING!

My friend and neighbor (the one who got me started in the Cricut world) had an idea for a family camp site sign. Since she primarily does paper crafts, not vinyl, she asked if I would like to help her with it…of course I agreed.

As a sort of ‘welcome back to crafting’ for myself and as a reminder to my loved ones, I decided to make this sign as a reminder to stop and breathe when things seem tough.

This project marks a first in two realms

Never have truer words been said. When I saw this design in a pack of SVGs, I laughed and thought “yeah that sounds like me”. Then it was a perfectly accurate description for this entire project.

I have been wanting to layer this design for a LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGG time! I’ve tried multiple times in the past, only to fail horribly, delete all of the process videos and throw away feet of vinyl. NOT TODAY SATAN!!!

As I look through Instagram each day for inspiration, I see hundred of personalized name decals for cups, laptops, phones, and whatever else people wish to personalize. I’ve been intrigued by these decals for a while, so I decided to try my hand at designing some.

I’ve been wanting to create a nice design on the white opal vinyl from TeckWrap, so figured this would be the one.

When I first whipped out the stencil vinyl, I thought “I’m going to start with a simple, basic project.” I was wrong…so. so. so wrong…
