Really, Really Big Flower
Lately with the more complicated layering projects, I wanted to take a small break and get back to just weeding. This extra large flower gave the perfect opportunity to do so. I also have an order from Teckwrap Craft coming in for which I have big plans. Gotta save the creative juices for all of the shiny pretty vinyl coming my way soon.
So until then, I give you this extra large flower that took two hours to weed. Want to make this design yourself? You can find it on Design Bundles HERE.
Off Brand Mats? GASP!!
It may have been seen in previous videos and photos, but I never did really talk about the new mats I have been using throughout last month and this month.
These mats have been quite nice to have on hand. Not only are they cheaper than the Cricut brand, they have a better tack (in my opinion). Since I sometimes do bigger projects with a bunch of layers or multiple projects simultaneously, I purchased two packs of 3 mats each. The light grip mats do well to hold on to paper and vinyls, but release them well without creasing or a need for much force when pulling things off.
Things on the Horizon
I mentioned above that I have another vinyl order on its way and I cannot wait! One of the vinyls included will be the opal holographic geometric print seen on the peacock heart. Another is an opal holographic leopard print that gives me serious Lisa Frank vibes. My 90s school days are coming back and I so want to make a project (or five) that have that kind of feel. Also be on the lookout for more of me pushing vinyl to see how far I can push these vinyls.
I see some fail posts coming soon…eeehhhhhhhhh.
