Another Mandala and I’m Not Even Sorry

If you read the previous post from Tuesday, you’ll remember that I mentioned having multiple projects lined up. Well this beautiful butterfly mandala is the next one of those designs. I still have two more in the works after this one, which you will see Saturday and Tuesday. I’ve been making sure I keep to the regular Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday posting schedule. So far, I’ve been successful. Fingers crossed it continues.

With this butterfly mandala design from Cricut Design Space, I saw the perfect opportunity to use some pink opal vinyl I had on hand from Expressions Vinyl. Like the vinyl from them that I used for the chameleon, I had to use the custom cut setting with 70 pressure on the Cricut Maker. If you need a quick rundown of how to make custom material settings for Design Space, check out the previous post (complete with screen shots).

Happy to Keep Creating

As many other projects have been, this beautiful butterfly does not have an immediate purpose. In the meantime, it will be kept in the completed projects box until a purpose for it arises. Recently, my niece has been looking at my creator page on IG and saw several projects she was interested in using for decor. Since she liked them so much, I get to send them to her and am so happy they will make her happy. A few projects she has laid claim to are the layered maple leaf and the layered heart stickers.

Sometimes as creators, we feel pressure to create but cannot create a project for which a purpose can be found. That is ok. I have found I often find joy creating designs for which I have no purpose. When they’re done, they go into a scrapbooking storage box to save for a later time. As you can see below, the box has several projects in it waiting for their time to shine as a gift, new sign, giveaway, etc.

Just remember to keep going. If it makes you happy, do it. To me, bringing joy is purpose enough to create. I have the supplies so I may as well use them!
