Stickers!
Each time I peruse through posts on Instagram, I see loads of people making stickers with TeckWrap Craft vinyl. I am always in such awe over them. Then I think to myself “I have silhouette templates; I can make some for myself!” Thanks to CoolSVG for a recent collaboration, I can make these adorable Sailor Moon stickers!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big Sailor Moon fan. If you’ve seen some of my process videos, you’ll even see some Sailor Moon ink on each forearm. I grew up watching the original anime, fell in love with the mangas, and loved seeing the revisited anime Crystal. Of course, if I’m going to make stickers, I’m starting with Sailor Moon stickers.
Stickers or Decals?
For two of the three designs used, I have no problem calling these Sailor Moon stickers. They’re all one piece and can be easily removed from their backing and applied to rigid surfaces. But what about the present moon with Luna? The design had little stars included that I felt were too cute to weed away. They could be adhered however someone wanted, wherever they wanted. But do they need transfer tape?
Thinking about this makes me really wonder about the crafting terms decal versus sticker. When do we use each term? What stipulations must be met to be considered either a sticker or a decal? To date, I’ve always erred on the side of caution and use both terms synonymously.
TeckWrap Craft for the Win!
Seriously, TeckWrap Craft never ceases to amaze me. Take a look here at previous projects where I’ve used their vinyl. There’s several and it’s for good reason. Take a closer look at these two stickers. The stars above Luna are so small, yet still look like stars. Also, Luna’s whiskers are so thin, but very distinguishable! Sailor Moon has on earrings in her silhouette. It’s incredible detail that I oftentimes struggle to get with other vinyls.

Tiny stars
She even has earrings!
