When is Easter?
I know Easter is coming soon. I’ve seen countless projects on various socials from so many crafters all centered around Easter. But unless I intentionally look for it on a calendar, I couldn’t tell you at the moment when it is exactly. So why not start some projects for it now? Better to be early than too late or never!
Cut Setting and Process
As always, a disclaimer that I use a Cricut Maker, so my cut settings are specific to Cricut. There are many reference tables on the internet of the specific pressure setting for each Cricut setting if you are using a different machine. (Hopefully I can remember in the future to include one next time for easier reference)

When weeding, there is no ‘outer edge’ per se as are in many other designs I do. This one more resembles the hearty heart clusters from Valentine’s Day or the composite heart on my completed projects box. So weeding takes care as most of it removes in one piece.
To make it easier, I did use scissors to cut away some parts as I weeded the negative space away from the design. Doing this makes it easier to control the weeding, ensure none of the vinyl falls and sticks to the design, and is not accidentally pulling up design elements.
Better Early Than Too Late
I made a mistake with regards to St. Patrick’s Day. I had three projects in mind that I wanted to complete and post prior to the holiday. As you can see from previous posts, only one of them was completed and posted on time. I did not budget my time correctly, and ended up with having to scrap two of the planned projects (unless I was willing to post them after the holiday).
It may just be me, but I do not like to post my own holiday projects after a holiday has passed. Take Christmas for example…I had several posts up to Christmas, but not any afterwards. I personally get tired of a holiday by the day of. The day after any holiday, I want to move in to other things and am done looking at the holiday recently passed. So even though I liked the projects I had planned for St. Patrick’s Day, I was done with the holiday right after, so I didn’t end up doing them.
Don’t be me. Make holiday projects early! You’ll be happier for it.
On a side note – If anyone has a way to better capture the color shift of the opal vinyls from TeckWrap Craft, please let me know! It was a real pain this time to get pictures that did this amazingly stunning vinyl any justice.
